Q. Should I change my shampoo so my hair doesn't become immune to its effects?
Tassia Migas, Halifax, winner of September's Elizabeth Arden prize
A. That's not necessary if you're using a shampoo that's working for you. Your hair is a dead fibre, so it's not going to "get used to" a shampoo. If you're getting good results and you're happy with the shine, body and appearance of your hair, stick with the product. If your hair begins to look dry, limp, dull or your scalp becomes dry or oily, then try a few shampoos targeted to your specific concern, such as deep cleansing for product-buildup removal or volume enhancing for limp hair.
